Pardis Ajala - winner of 7 scholarships

A happy & successful Class of 2016

A St Hilda’s pupil has been offered a staggering seven scholarships to some of the most prestigious independent schools in the area.

Pardis Ajala, who is a very talented singer, has already won a string of art festival awards and has performed on the West End stage in the chorus of Carmen. Exceptionally, she was offered a music scholarship at every single one of the six schools she applied to. City of London School, known for its highly competitive and selective admissions criteria, even went so far as to offer her a choice of their Drama or Music scholarship.

Mrs Ajala, Pardis’ mother commented: “We are very proud of Pardis.  She has exceeded all of our expectations. She has always been a very busy girl with lots of extra-curricular activities, and St. Hilda’s staff have been extremely supportive in allowing her to stay on top of her academics as well as maximising her potential in the Performing Arts. We couldn’t have wished for a better outcome!”

St Hilda’s is renowned for its small classes and high levels of individual care and attention. Girls are prepared for 11 entry to a wide variety of local schools including Watford Grammar and Parmiters, as well as leading independent schools.

Headmistress, Miss Sarah Jane Styles says, “All of the girls have been successful in securing entry to their first choice of senior school. They have all worked extremely hard and I have been so impressed with their mature and conscientious work ethic throughout the process. As well as being thrilled with Pardis’ success, I would also like to pass on my congratulations to Aanshi Lal and Marisa Winward who won an art and an all-rounder scholarship, respectively.”
