Appointment of New Head
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Kaye as Head of St Hilda's from September 2022.
Andrew graduated from The University of Worcester with a degree in Psychology and Health Studies before beginning his career working in logistics for an international company. In the back of his mind though, teaching was always a vocation he intended to pursue and after a successful career managing the company’s UK and Irish logistics infrastructure, he returned to study and qualified as a teacher through the Graduate Teacher Programme with the University of Hertfordshire. His first post was at a junior school in Harrow where he developed new approaches to assessment and led on working with parents to empower them to best support their children with Maths. Prior to joining St Hilda’s as the Deputy Head in 2016, Andrew was a deputy head in a three-form entry primary school.
He is tremendously passionate about bringing fun and exploration to learning and helping young people be their happiest, most confident selves at school.
I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed as the new Head of St Hilda’s. It is a wonderful school with such a warm and welcoming ethos. When you set foot in the building, it is clear to see the happiness and pride the girls have in both their school and their learning. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with colleagues, parents and the girls in supporting them to achieve their true potential both inside and outside of the classroom.
I am absolutely delighted that Andy Kaye has been appointed as the new Head of St Hilda’s School. He is so familiar to everyone in the School community as a popular and successful Deputy Head and has all the capabilities to lead the School in succession to Miss Styles. I know that he will also be a very key member of the Foundation Leadership Group and work well with the Governors, all of whom are committed to seeing St Hilda’s flourish under his leadership.
