St Hildas School

Celebrating ‘World Thinking Day’

The school celebrated World Thinking Day this year with a special assembly in which the girls who are in Rainbows, Brownies or Guides proudly talked about their roles.  World Thinking Day, which falls on the 22nd February every year, is a special day for those who are in the Rainbows, Brownies, Girl Guides, or Girls Scouts movement. The day, which has been celebrated since 1926 is a day of international friendship, a day to speak out on issues that affect young women and a day to fundraise for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.

It was really interesting to hear about all the amazing and exciting things the girls are involved in within their respective scouting groups during the assembly and we’re sure it has inspired some of the other girls to get involved!
