St Hildas School

Elite Swim Team at National Finals

Our elite Form 6 swimmers performed brilliantly at the English Schools' Swimming Association Primary Schools Championships in Sheffield. Our team represented the East region in the small schools section.

We competed against schools from 7 other regions and had to be in the top 8 schools to reach the A final or placed 9th to 16th to reach a B final. The swimmers exceeded Head of Games, Mrs Mackett's, (already high) expectations that they should reach the B finals. In both the mixed stroke relay and the freestyle relay the teams achieved huge personal best times and gained places in the A final. In the mixed stroke relay we came 6th and in the freestyle relay St Hilda's were placed 8th!
