Girls Achieve their Best at National Championship

A team of six girls represented St Hilda’s at the British Schools’ Modern Biathlon Championships 2019, which was held at Crystal Palace this year.

This was our schools biggest entry at a National Championship and for the first time ever we had a team of three entered in the competitions ‘Under 10 Category’.

Congratulations to our six strong team of Lola, Sophia, Laila, Morayo, Elle and Andrea for their amazing efforts in the competition.  The competition was fierce and strong, however they all rose to the challenge and between them broke six existing St Hilda’s sports records.  What a great achievement!  A special mention goes out to Elle who placed 3rd in the running discipline and 6th overall out of 93 athletes in her age group.

What a wonderful outcome for our girls and the school.  The girls all enjoyed the experience, and we’re sure it’s a sporting event that will stick in their memories for a long time!
